Hi Starr --- Boston isn't too bad for some parts of Maine. It's about 6 hours from me. I have traveled to see Josh three times and will continue
whenever I can One thing about that though is Boston is such a
huge city and so busy. It is extremely confusing for most of
Mainers to find our way around it. It is also an expensive place to stay. I live in a town that doesn't even have a signal light. Besides
I have a lot of family I want to take to see him - don't think we can all get down to Boston.
When Josh was in Boston last time - it was the middle of winter - travel on the roads can be so dangerous. But I did check on tickets
for Boston. By the time I had money - the good seats were gone. So I bought tickets for Montreal instead. Took me 8 hours to get to
that one - through snowstorms - across the border - reading French road signs - just to see him (we stayed the weekend). Boston is probably
closer but I was more nervous about driving there for some reason anyway. I know that makes no sense but I did get to see beautiful Montreal.
Well, my husband and I got lost in Boston once (and he is a very experienced driver - drove a truck for awhile) - so I don't have good memories of
I have since that time discovered the bus system down to Boston so next time I may be brave enough to give it a try. It can be warmer and more humid down there though and that really bothered my
asthma the one time I went.
We in Maine though - we would like our opportunity to show Josh we love him too and to show him our beautiful state. And okay -- maybe there aren't
enough fans here yet but I AM TRYING to make them. But fans could come in from Mass., NH, VT, Canada (Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward
Island). Maine really is like two states and I think Josh is more well known from Bangor and down. I have been driving everyone nuts talking about him.
All he has to do is open his mouth to sing here -- and they'll all love him like we do. That voice.
So yeah - I still want him to come to Maine but I will keep following him when I can.
Maine is Josh deprived.
Is Boston too far for you guys? Doesn't he often include Boston in his tour dates?
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our
hearts. And we are never, ever the same.-- Anonymous (Josh Groban and his fans are footprint people)
