It was such an honor to be a part of such a wonderful and worthwhile project. Thank you for all the work you put into Josh and preparing him for the journey he is on. I know the love for others is not always in the thoughts of so many who make it to the top. "Others" are not only in Josh's thoughts but they are in his heart and I know that is because this was instilled there by you and Mr. Groban. Once again, thank you for sharing your lives and inspiration with us. It makes us proud to be a part of the journey and motivates us to do more for those around us and around our world. The song "Thankful" from Josh has reminded me that, yes i am blessed even though i don't have a lot of money. But hey! money isn't the only thing. Sharing with others is also a very rich experience and, i think that's what we do here. Josh fills my heart when i see him at a concert and so, i'm simply trying to pass that onto others. He does so with his music too. You've both instilled good values to Josh so, kudos to you too! I'm sorry that you're all missing out on visiting Africa right now as planned. At first it must be frustrating but, sometimes things happen for a reason. Thanks for keep carrying this wonderful work you're doing! Hugs, Loubi

Posts: 166 (03/20/08 22:49:21) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Block Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Dear Grobans, you guys are SUCH shining lights. i'm still completely blown away at just how much was raised! the achievements of this movement will resonate in our hearts for a very long time to come. i'm still wondering how exactly did so many people come together and create this?! all mostly though email or internet posts --how staggering, and how wonderful!! we can't wait to see the impact of everyone's warmest wishes and love sent down to south africa. indeed it has had a wider effect than benefiting only those down in SA, it has shown us all what is possible when people come together with the sincere wish to help one another... it's such a great and powerful thing to realize. it will only inspire bigger and better things as we go. ps: Lindy, this might sound straight out of left field, but i was wondering if you and your husband might ever consider writing a little book on your experiences raising kids? i don't yet have children, but it would be nice to get some insights from someone who has clearly done something right. Josh looks soooo happy! I believe 100%, like you said, that this is Josh's best birthday gift ever! Posts: 167 (03/21/08 19:47:57) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Block Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	truly, i really wouldn't mind if one of my future sons or daughters turned out even half like josh or chris. what's even more amazing is that they both grew up in Los Angeles which has a reputation as the most superficial city in the world, and yet... i have yet to see a single smidge of 'superficial' coming from either one of them. and Chris neck deep in the film industry and Josh in the entertainment industry since he was a 17 year old kid. ... it's pretty remarkable. i know there are heaps of parents out there who also seem to do a pretty good job, but it would be cool to get an overall Groban family perspective as far as how to best support your kids as they grow, and help them make wise judgements along the way, instill a great sense of motivation, humour, focus and purpose, and make sure their hearts stay wide open along their journeys. i also know that no family is without it's challenges, but it's always great to hear advice from someone who has already been there. i'm not asking for specific stories either, lol-- Chris and Josh can keep their childhood privacy and brotherly altercations or gaffs wrapped up tight, haha. it's more of a general parenting approach that i would love to have an insight into. ...seeing as we can't just sit down at the kitchen table with Lindy and Jack ourselves, and ask their advice, which I would love to. but might you consider it, Lindy & Jack? ^_^ part proceeds going to charity? best, heather.
