A huge thank you to all of you who made the Raise 27 drive such an over the top, unbelievable success!! My heart cannot express enough how touched we are at this support. Your belief in us and your desire to help the children at Siyawela is a gift of the highest order. Even though my dream of visiting Siyawela had to be postponed for a short time, Andrea is there to help facilitate what we hope to accomplish and to help us feel as though we have all made this visit with her. Your caring will bring so much to this little place that has seen such a huge transformation because of the continual and staggering increase in children orphaned by AIDS. Andrea, our NOAH friends and I have been working on a wish list for the past few months and because of you, we will be able to check off everything on that list!!!! How amazing is that! We will make sure that everyone at Siyawela knows who you are, that there are thousands of Josh's fans who made this happen and are reaching out to them with love. Again, your commitment to us has touched our hearts.

This is a very happy day for us, Josh & family!!!!! Thank you all for taking the time to post during these times that must have been awful hectic for you.

Dear Josh
If only you knew the power YOU hold to change people inside....and change lives.
You give us so much, and not only with your music and out of this world voice, but just by being honest about 'who you are'.
Words cant describe the affect your 'touch' has on our hearts and souls....you are a breath of fresh air, in a world polluted with chaos and degradation.
You have made us aware of just how great the need is of these children, and made us realise that we too, CAN make a difference in their lives, if only to make it a little 'easier' to bear.
We would move mountains to be able to give back even just a little of what you give us every day of our lives....and what is important to you, is important to us too.
Thank you can and never will be enough, but we can show you how much you mean to us, by using the compassion and love you make us feel, to help others .
We are so proud and honoured to be able to help you help the children, and we would do it all again. This is just the beginning.
Together we can do so much more (you taught us that), and with you as our inspiration we can and we WILL move mountains.

I want to say something here on Lindy's thread, but the words just won't come right......

Yesterday, I'm standing in this immensely active building, awesomely huge, bustling with fork lifts everywhere, people in red shirts running here and there,....the warehouse of ULINE in nearby Lake Forest, picking up 3 cartons of puffy envelopes (to save the huge shipping charge) to package GFC buttons/magnets/mirrors for Raise 27 and all the other upcoming GFC auctions ......and suddenly realizing how very proud I am to be standing there in that warehouse to be picking up these 1,500 envelopes!!! Do you know what I'm trying to say??? Without Josh Groban and his love for humanity, I would not be standing there in that huge warehouse yesterday afternoon!!! Without the wonderful mother who gave birth to this wonderfully caring and talented young man, I wouldn't be standing there in that warehouse yesterday!!

To the person who asked.....Andrea is the wife of an American diplomat in SA who has been working with the children and staff of Zamimpilo/Siyawela since the JGF first got involved over there. She orchestrated various treats such as a Christmas party for the children and, I'm sure, many other things as well.

I am so glad that Josh was happy with our efforts.....it helps, in part, to repay him for the incredible happiness he has brought to his legions of fans. We love you Josh and will continue our efforts on your behalf. And.....um......nice shorts there Josh!
