Yeah, the elimination had to be between Robin or Mattin and it was a tricky one. But the fact that Robin knew her food was bad versus Mattin not knowing it
at all (and not knowing what he did wrong) seemed clear that he should be sent home. Well, either way it would be a win-win for us because I don't care if
either went home. Before the LV season started, I saw preview clips and I remember seeing Robin get into an argument with one of the chefs and it was about her
using her health (she has Lymphoma) to escape elimination or some sort of trouble from the judges. I should have known from that clip that she would be staying
Haha...exactly! It was funny how Bravo made it such a big deal with Tom spitting out his food when that was all there is, there was nothing else to that scene!
I think he spat out Mattin's ceviche. He said that the cod ceviche he had was still raw.
Jennifer is a strong chef indeed. She worked for a stickler like Chef Eric Ripert (brilliant as he is), so she's gotta be good if she was the executive
chef at one of his restaurants. One thing I want to point out--although unrelated to her talent is that I think her face gets red way too easily and that she
tries to hide her emotions, but it clearly shows through her face. I hope she's able to control that much better in the future because we all know
'getting red' is not a good thing for a professional. I think that's what annoyed me about her in the beginning. Btw, did anyone notice the
chemistry and tension between Michael V. and Jennifer? I noticed it in last week's challenge when they were paired together for the French cuisine
I wish I knew what bacon jam is...can anyone tell me? or has anyone tasted it?
When I found out that Michael V. is working at the Langham in Pasadena, I had to check it out. I haven't yet, but I have plans to. I will give a full
review when I go there...and hopefully soon!

Interesting episode with 'deconstructing dishes'! I had to actually look it up for me to fully understand the concept of it. Yeah, the chefs did
explain somewhat, but I needed more examples and explanations.
Was surprised to see Jennifer in the winners circle. I guess she's really great at what she does! and same goes with Michael V. and Kevin.
Ashley was in the winners circle twice. I guess she's stepping up her game now.
Seemed like a lot of the chefs were pissed that Robin won the Quickfire. Yeah, she might have manipulated the judges to choose her dish over others, but hey,
it's part of the game. Now everybody has to play dirty. Naw, I
think integrity is more important than cooking good food. Integrity says a lot about a person.
*ugh* Seeing Toby Young again. I thought we were done with this guy?? I
really don't care for his opinions and it seems that a lot of the other judges don't care either. I don't think having Toby will boost the ratings
for the show, so I think the producers need to re-think having Toby around. Actually, having him around might kill the ratings instead.
Any dishes that looked interesting in tonight's episode?
I would have like to have tried Jennifer's dish, just because she said that she ruined it, but she did say it tasted good. Plus, I love me some pasta and a
hearty sauce! I would have like to have tasted Ashley's and Michael V's dish too.

Wednesday's episode is restaurant wars!!
Can't wait to see the Voltaggio bros cookin' together as a team. It will be fun to see how they work things out with Robin. Forgot what nickname was
given her by one of the chefs. Boy, do they hate her!
No matter what happens, I want the Volt bros and Jennifer to be in the Top 4. I have a feeling that Kevin's numerous Elimination wins will give him much of
an advantage towards the end. Maybe he might be the winner? He seems to let everything roll off his back...he does not seem to break a sweat! I'm impressed
with his attitude...his composure.

I feel sorry for Robin too, but people don't just hate without a reason. I think Robin is pushing everyone's buttons and they're tired of her.
They've shown us many scenes of Robin rambling on and on and talking nonstop. I think that's one of the reasons why her fellow chefs are annoyed with
her. It's a sign of her insecurity...talking on and on like that. She claims that she's here as a competitor only and she's not here to make
friends. But we know that's simply not true. She just knows that nobody likes her, so she's dismissing everyone by saying that. Also, the other chefs
don't like her because she's not confident. She tries to look that way and says she is, but everyone can see right through her. Robin's competitors
aren't hating on her because she's a bad chef, but because she doesn't have the confidence to cook like one. But Robin winning the Quickfire by
talking about her illness may have been the fuel to the fire...and also when she won the golden chip and she chose to have immunity over $15,000. It was a sign
of weakness and everyone saw that. I think she comes off defensive too, so people don't care to get to know her. Maybe her illness has prevented her from
truly showing her best sides to everyone and maybe she feels she's at a disadvantage because of it as well. But I think she has misrepresented herself by
not being honest with everyone. She doesn't have to pour her heart out, but she could have shared a few things about her illness to the chefs around her
and even other things about herself. I think everyone would have been more sympathetic with her if she had. Oookay, getting off my soapbox now. I think
I've said enough already.

Michael asked Bryan the same thing. He asked him why he was upset. Bryan said he was happy for him and that he wants him to keep the full money and not
share. I think Bryan saw Michael's insincerity in sharing the money, so he didn't want it. He was coming from this place of "Haha~ I won! and I
could do whatever I want with this money" instead of, "Wow, I couldn't have done this without my teammates and I want to share this money because
they deserve it too."
I forget what Bryan's exact words were, but Bryan was upset because Michael had this attitude that he completely deserved to win, when it was a team
effort. Bryan felt that Michael's arrogance, attitude and his unprofessionalism during the team's Restaurant Wars was rewarded...and that also was
reinforcing his continuing negative behavior. But I do think that Bryan was a bit upset that he didn't win for his leadership ability and doing all he can
to bring the team together, although I'm sure he was happy that his brother won than somebody else. Sadly, the judges couldn't have seen Bryan's
leadership skills unless the teammates said something about it. Michael gets rewarded for cussing out Robin and bullying her to make her dish his way when
Bryan tried to respect Robin as a chef. I remember Michael saying something along the lines of Bryan has always been the guy who took care of everyone. Michael
acknowledged that. He implied that he's nothing like that...and that he can be his stubborn self and do what he wants. Kevin said two episodes ago that
Michael can slowly wreck Bryan because he has this volatile personality. He said that Michael is setting off a ticking time bomb inside Bryan's head. I
feel sorry for Bryan. I think he really tries to look out for his brother and want him to succeed and do well in this competition. I can see his anxiousness
when Michael is in the bottom and he doesn't want him to go. But I don't remember seeing Michael trying to do the same for his brother. He's so
disconnected from him...he's like, "You're you and I'm me. End of story."
I think the past 2-3 episodes, we have plainly seen Jennifer's poker face being revealed. I think she might go sooner than expected. She's really
losing it and dropping the ball! I wanted her to stay as long as she can, but more and more I see her double-guessing herself and looking lost. I think she
should leave before she does more harm to herself and the reputation she has built while on this show. She was a strong competitor. But now it's clear that
the lasting competitors here are Kevin, Bryan, and Michael. I think they shall stand at the end.
