These last 3 years have been overwhelming, not only for Josh but for our family as well, and it has changed our lives in ways that we could not even imagine. First, you all need to know that you are the most incredible fans an artist could ask for and there is not one minute of one day that we are not grateful for your support. You started by finding something life affirming in Josh's music and then you decided to share his music with friends and family. Then, something even more amazing happened. Regardless of age, religion and politics, you decided to do good in the world on Josh's behalf. Even at the very beginning, you organized Meet and Greets around the country. You formed friendships, you helped one another and you worked very hard toward accomplishing goals, set by you, that would make the world a better place. You began the Beanie Brigade, who have knit over 5,000 beanies, booties and blankets for children with cancer and preemies. You decided to lend your help and support to Toys for Tots which has collected an astounding 1455 toys this year. You organized Grobanites for Charity that supports the Josh Groban Foundation which, in this last week's online auction, has raised $48,000 and $100,000 this year! You have volunteered at PBS, you have helped individuals in need, you have shown your many talents as web designers, artists, photographers and organizers. You developed a cookbook with over 200 recipes, all proceeds going to the Foundation -- the various skills, the energy, the enthusiasm and caring you show is beyond measure -- you have brought a whole new dimension to Josh's success and we think you have brought a whole new dimension to what it means to be a fan. You inspire us and make us want to be better. .
We hope we are all still at the beginning of this journey together. You have shown us your humanity and we are so grateful because with all our differences, our humanity is the glue that holds us together. We are just at the beginning stages of our foundation but because of you, in a small orphanage in South Africa, 86 children will have a Christmas and will have a much improved facility next year. So in this season of reflection, if Josh's music has been a catalyst for doing good in the world, keep this wonderful phenomenon moving forward whether it is in support of what we are doing or you have your own special charitable interests. You are needed and appreciated and the world needs more of you. To all of you from all of us, a huge heartfelt thank you. You have brought so much joy and inspiration to our family.
Jack, Lindy, Josh and Chris
