To help with all the questions that pop up when planning all these meet & greets, I thought it would be helpful to have one place to go, one central site for gathering information and keeping track of all the great plans being made... so I'm proud to announce the launch of the first ever Grobanite Meet & Greet Resource Center! www.mgresourcecenter.com On the site, you'll find tips from experienced M&G'ers, fundraising guidelines (for those planning to have a GFC charity fundraiser), merchandising links, budget template, and a calendar. I hope you find it helpful in your planning... Please note in the contact section that if you'd like to have a M&G date added to the calendar, contact Carolina, who will take all your information and get it to me to be added on. I noticed that the items purchased by people must be paid by check made out the "Grobanites for Charity". When did it change making it to the charities instead of to the "Josh Groban Foundation". It may be a little difficult to show a tax write off unless the check clearly states that it is for a Foundation.

Checks from the M&G Fundraisers have been made payable to GFC for over a year now. All proceeds from the M&G fundraisers are donated to JGF. I hope that helps! Sandi Grobanites For Charity

Posts: 755 (11/29/06 20:58:26) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Block Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Just for clarification purposes, the Meet & Greets that Nay is talking about, are the formal/scheduled Grobanite parties that are held immediately prior to each Josh concert/Josh event. They are organized, attended, and paid for by Grobanites ONLY. Josh, his parents, and other Josh Team members RARELY ever attend them, as they have other responsibilities. Traditionally, the Grobanite Meet & Greets are organized by old-timer Grobies in the local area where each concert is held. There will be information about EACH of the Grobanite Meet & Greet parties posted on the Tour Forum over the next few months, so you will be able to easily access this information and help in the planning of the Meet & Greet, if you would like. Meeting Josh is done, almost exclusively, via a Backstage Pass. These Backstage Pass meetings with Josh usually last about 5 minutes, are NEVER guaranteed, and are, historically, awarded as prizes for an FOJG contest that is held prior to the concert (or sometime via a radio contest in the local area). Each FOJG contest is different on each leg of the tour and only 2 FOJG members, traditionally, win the BSPs. Each winner and 1 (one) guest are permitted to meet with Josh either BEFORE or AFTER the concert that they won the prize for. When you win the prize, you will be informed as to WHEN you will meet Josh and how/where to pick up your Backstage Pass. Thus far, there has been no word as to whether any BSPs will be awarded during the AWAKE tour, so if you are an FOJG member, you will want to keep an eye on the NEWS page on FOJG for any details that may appear. Currently, there is one BSP auction item listed on the GFC Christmas auction, for those of you who may be interested in bidding on it. Enjoy! Janiece

These are fan get-togethers. But, they're a lot of fun! A great way to meet and get to know other fans, share your love for Josh and his music....sometimes buy some cool stuff and, many times, participate in fundraisers for Josh's foundation. It really makes the whole concert experience even more fun!

It was suggeted this might be a GOOD thing to post so that others who plan M&G's learn the pitfalls. We were charged $600 (with 50 people that came to $12 a head) just to rent the location and nothing else provided,not even chairs! We were chgarged $23 a person for catering. The food was fair but because of the information given to the caterer, they seved us on 6 inch dessert/appetizer plates.
