As a result, all posts with inflated ticket prices, or no price at all (contact the seller directly for more info), will be subject to removal. You CAN advertise tickets for sale if the price is equal to, or less than, what you paid. (Please remember to exercise caution when entering into any agreements to purchase tickets through private parties all transactions are at your own risk.) If you go to google.com and type in Josh Groban tickets, there are tons of tickets out there and they certainly aren't the original price. Here's the google link www.google.com/search?hl=...in+Detroit Are all these websites illegal in selling these tickets?? Now I know where a lot of the seats went to.....these places that are selling the tickets for profit. Can you comment for me. Thanks very much.

Why can so many get away with selling a bunch of tickets for way over the regular price? If it IS indeed illegal....then why doesn't the government crack down on them?? Why aren't they stopped? Simone- I just clicked on the link you provided and I'm blown away by the sheer number of tickets that these scalpers are selling. It's in the hundreds! And the prices are so inflated. How can they get away with something so illegal?

Some people get away with it and some don't. It still makes me wonder how come it's so out there on the Internet and it's okay. I would like better seats than what I have in Detroit but I'm not paying almost double the price to get them. Thanks for responding - at least I know I have someone's attention. SS

Some get away with it and some don't. The laws are SELECTIVELY enforced. The big scalping firms are sold large numbers of tickets and it's ok for them to re-sell them at hugely inflated prices. How can the re-sale of tickets be illegal if so many ticket brokers/scalpers are doing it every day and getting away with it? The industry and gov. allows it, obviously, or there would be a big crackdown. I went to Ticketmaster yesterday looking for a few good tickets for a show in Chicago and the best ones were all sold out. It's not really sold out! It's just that the scalpers have hundreds of them! Guess I won't be going to that show. Well, thank goodness here in this forum Josh fans can sell and buy tickets at the original price without being gouged. ~Cyn~

I buy tickets on eBay all the time. If it is against the policy, I can not understand how they allow it. If the show is sold out, or the good seats are gone, I go to eBay.

I just paid 200.00 from a ticket broker coughscalpercough for seventh row tix to raleigh rbc center. It makes perfect sense that Josh's site would want to allow people to sell tickets they cannot use and recoup WHAT THEY PAID for them. But why on earth would Josh and his team want to facilitate scalping? Scalping rips people off.

It makes it difficult for those who do want to go hard to get seats..I think the venues/TM need to reduce the number of tickets sold per person (ie: on Ticket Master up to 8 a person) I mean no offences but please have respect! if one needs money so bad.... work! Enthusiasm literally means "being filled with spirit."

When a person purchases them and finds out someone else has the same seat who wins? Someone is going to be sorely disappointed and out a lot of money etc. It has happened and will continue to happen.

Let me tell you about Ticketmaster. I bought two sets of tickets for Josh Groban in Norfolk Va and then a few days later I got an email from ticketmaster telling me they were auctioning off some other tickets. So I bid and got tickets on the third row center, but they were not cheap by any means. So they were held back and then sold for huge prices by ticketmaster. It's ok though cause if they hadn't done that I wouldn't have gotten such great seats.

Apalling as people cannot get good seats as the profiteers have the money to buy them in bulk, and ticket companies are not clamping down on it. They say you can only buy 6 per household, even that does not stop the touts, they just use other peoples addresses. Jon Bon Jovi.. how about two tickets fetching 2000 thousand pounds for tickets that were 100 pound each, whoever paid that must be totally mad, as well as have money to throw away, shame the money made does not go to charity, that I could respect, but it goes to people who do not work, probably claim benefits and get away with it. My mom purchased four (4) tickets online to what she thought was his concert in Salt Lake City, UT but aparently bought them for a show in Omaha, NE. That was the first time she had ever purchased tickets online and didn't realize what she had done. Also, because they were presale tickets , she is unable to sell them back to the ticketmaster she purchased them from. So, I thought I would throw it out to all you Josh Groban fans who might live in the Omaha area or know someone who might like to go there for the concert. It is for August 28, 2007. We are not trying to make any money, just trying not to lose any! If you are interested, please contact me and I can give you further details about the tickets.
