I thought "THAT voice is coming from HIM?" To say I was impressed was a huge understatement. Then I kinda forgot what I heard, and yrs later, I heard "O Holy Night" and "Believe." And at the time I hated "You Raise Me Up" cuz I couldn't escape it when it was the big hit. I didn't connect the musical dots. We got "Noel" & LOVED IT. No wait--still love it. So here I am listening to stuff I missed. "Sorry Josh--I should have paid attention." It took a while, but when I got Grobanitis, it hit me like an 18-wheeler.

Wow, that must've been when he sang with Celine Dion for the first time. Just a young kid. Boy, was he lucky to have hooked up with David Foster! David sure knows talent when he hears it. How many times have you seen him live? It's even more amazing then cuz you realize this isn't studio "sweetening" or a gazillion back up singers.

There's been a lot of Josh action in the past couple of months. Too bad for me I missed it all. Boneless, it looks like some of us AZ Grobies will be meeting for lunch or lunner on June 21st. PM me if yoou're interested in coming. May be just a meal. Those usually last a couple of hours. Hopefully, we will be able to get together at someon's house afterwards for a Josh fest. I'm fairly new to the board, but I figured I'd drop in here and say that although I think I missed the last get together, if any more are planned, I'm more than interested in attending, if you can admit a newbie. I'm driving my family and co-workers nuts with how much I listen to and talk about Josh, so it'd be nice to hang out with some folks who might be able to tolerate my addiction...

Most of us are now over on FoJG, but not everyone is so I try to check in to look for newbies who might wander into our thread. So, Welcome!! Yes, the last get together was last month. It was partly so everyone could meet my niece I am always bragging about. She came to visit a couple of weeks from back home...Fort Worth, TX. She's 13 and this was her first time flying or being away from home for so long. She didn't want to leave! Anyhow....we try to get together as often as possible. Usually somewhere around Phoenix. Most usually in Scottsdale. There are two AZ Grobie sisters, Pat and Sharon, and we usually go to their house after lunch or dinner to watch, listen to and discuss everything Josh. This was also the time for the Grobies who went to London to see Josh in Chess to tell us all about their trip. There is going to be a get together in Sedona in early September. A weekend thing. Tell you what, I'll pm you my email addy, so you can contact me there. I am usually the one of our group who kinda spearheads all the get togethers, so it helps to have your email addy to let you know what's coming up. We definitely will have a holiday get together, usually between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We sometimes have auctions at the gatherings to raise money for Josh's charity. But, this last Christmas, we had a gift exchange. It was a great time. So....let me know your email addy so i can get you on the list. Barb

You really missed a great Christmas party. But, there will be others. Actually, we are getting together tomorrow in Mesa at Marilyn's daughter's house. After that, the next planned thing is the trip to Sedona that had to be post poned because of Marilyn's surgeries. I think I heard something about having it in April. My job will most likely prevent me from going, but I'll see when the dates are finalized. My email addy is still the same. If I don't get back here before, I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. All you have to do to start posting, is go to the end of a post where it says REPLY. Hit that, and a big white box will show up, and you just start typing. When you are done, look at the bottom right corner under the box, and hit post. Doing this stuff is much easier than you think. You found my email addy. Which I posted earlier.
