My name is Robert Kahane and my just-turned seven (7)-year old daughter,
Brianna, repeatedly names Josh and Lucia Micarelli as the people who have inspired her love of music and the violin, and she feels she has a bond with Josh. A
few weeks ago, Brianna was thrilled to be invited by Lucia to meet her personally following her performance in Chris Botti's show at The Fillmore Miami
Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater. Brianna not only met Lucia, but had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform Lucia's solo works in Live at the Greek -- both in Josh's song, You Raise Me Up, as well as Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody -- for Lucia, Chris
Botti and an entire audience at the post-show signing. Lucia was so moved by Brianna's performance that she was in tears and the crowd comments were
incredible. I have attached the video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26Va3CtfUQk.
Brianna feels a strong bond with Josh because she is extremely passionate about using her talent to help others in any way she can, and is interested in giving in-kind donations to any charitable organizations which Josh supports, regardless of location. In late April, Brianna gave a beautiful heartwarming 30-minute solo violin performance that was extremely well-received as part of the "Children Reach Out" campaign at the American Heart Association's 2009 Broward Heart Ball, a prestigious black-tie event which hosted more than 500 attendees from the medical and corporate fields, as well as community leaders. Brianna was especially touched to have been invited to perform for this event as all proceeds from the Ball which Brianna helped raise -- totaling over 1.5 million dollars -- will benefit the American Heart Association. Brianna also offered at the Ball to donate a 30-minute solo performance to the highest bidder to raise additional funds for the American Heart Association.
Brianna received a standing ovation for her performance at the
Ball, and audience members were so moved by her poignant recital of several pieces that many were brought to tears. Following Brianna's performance at the Ball, members of the audience told her that they would "see her at Carnegie Hall,"
that her poised and flawless recital had brought "tears to [their] eyes," that "a star is born" and that she is a "true angel of
music." Significantly, Brianna's performance at the Broward Heart Ball was so touching that she was immediately invited by Heart Association attendees
to perform at the Miami-Dade Heart Ball this past weekend -- at which she played You Raise Me Up because she
finds it so inspirational.
We sincerely thank Josh for continuing to serve as Brianna's inspiration, and hope that he enjoys the attached video link of her recent performance for Lucia. Brianna's biggest dream is to make Josh proud of her, and she hopes that Josh will call upon her to assist him with any charitable events coming up in the near future.
