Gladys,
Thanks for the well wishes on the nap but I never got to sleep. Just kept tossing and turning. I guess this crap is bothering more than I thought. Now since I have the bullseye on my back, it will only make matters worse. I love raspberry ice tea, no strawberries or I turn into one huge hive. I also drink Arizona Green Tea quite a bit, my drink of the norm is a sprite (which is usually sprayed on the dogs or the cats, when someone writes something that gets me) |

Thanks Kit, you wouldn't happen to know where the picture is located online, would you? I have already checked www.aspca.org with no luck. La bellezza della tua canzone accarezza l'anima, dopo aver squarciato il cuore

June, this will sound like a really bad joke...but it is true.
There are stores I have never ever got a reciept.... because their printers dies with me there. I was hooked up to an EKG before surgery, and it was flatlined until they moved it as far away as possible (makes you neverous when you are going under) I am banned in a couple of TV stores, because their TV's, computers and registrers die. Only computer who works with me, I have built myself. The average life tiome for anything around me is top 18 month. I blame all the 10+ MRI's Malin

Here you go Michelle,
Have to look under Henry Bergh thru Google. http://www.brooklynparrots.com/uploaded_images/aspca_stone_full_circle-719760.jpg Kit Honesty has a beautiful and refreshing simplicity about it. No ulterior motives. No hidden meanings. An absence

Here in SC, if you were to ask for Iced Tea in a restaurant, you would get a funny or incomprehending look from the waiter/waitress. If you order
"tea" what you get is "sweet tea" (iced, and with enough sugar in it to give a tooth a cavity on the spot!); if you want less sweetening,
you either order "Unsweet Tea" and sweeten to taste, with whichever sweetener you want --surgar, pink, blue or yellow -- or you order "half
sweet, half un-sweet tea". If you want hot tea, you must ask for "hot tea" (and you'll usually get a cup of hot water and a teabag). As
a side note, if you are ordering a cola soft drink and ask for "Coke", it might turn out to be Pepsi brand; I always first ask which they serve, and
opt for water w/ lemon when they say Pepsi.
>>>Honey-Dew Peach Smoothies<<< Oooh, that sounds !
small vent: The males I am related to! (husband and son.... ![]() ) What part of "You have to be a full-time student to be covered under
Dad's insurance" is so incomprehensible? And, what part of "I'm going to Boston (from SC!) for a football game w/ xxxxxx (friend), and make
it a 4-day weekend, [on the weekend of your birthday]" am I supposed to be happy about, or is supposed to be romantic?

Maggs, if it is allowed in the UK, try to get a shot of Depo-Medrol. It is a time released cortisone that works on allergies.
I have managed to find one allergist here that is ok with giving it to me, after almost croaking during the allergy test...lol One shot usually helps me through the entire allergy season, but it can be given 2-3 times. The days things are extra bad I add on Benadryl (still don't know the drowsiness people talk about, never noticed them) and I my mom sent me some of the allergy eye drops that aren't sold here. Malin

Gladys and Michelle, thanks, I am safe from the actual fires, closest one is about a hour away. But the air is unbelievable here.
Maggs, I hope you get some relief from the hay fever. Malin, that is very interesting about you and your relationship with electronics! HEATHER |

Michelle, those SPCA commercials that are on TV always make me cry. I don;t know how people can treat animals like that.
Just recently around here there was a kennel raided due to complaints from people who lived near it. There were hundreds of dead cats and dogs, and the surviving ones were starving were living in feces. They wouldn't even show the footage on the news. At first they couldn't find the owners, but now they are facing criminal charges, as they should. I think they should rot in hell, but that's just me. The customer is not always right! Trust me, I've dealt with some doozy's. Although in this case they were! Some sales people can be very rude, as can many customers. No body should ever be rude, especially over nothing, which is most often the case. I like all iced-tea. Sweetned or unsweetned, just depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Steph

Sherie.....That exchange between you and the P.O. worker was unbelievable. Sounds like she's become burned out in her job and needs to seriously consider a
change of scenery!
Heather....It must be so scarey being so close to the fires. The smoke must make it quite bad for most people to be outside. A fire has been burning in the Dismal Swamp here in Virginia for the past several weeks. When the wind is blowing from the south, we smell it here in Richmond. I had never encountered something like that before. It was bad enough, but if you also have to deal with ash in the air, that sounds so dreadful. Maggs....So you have hay fever amid all this coldness in the air? Weird! Sorry you're not feeling up to snuff...
Gilda....Your words were so well written about the recent events here in Grobania. I do hang onto the hope that we can all learn from this and perhaps remember the golden rule a little more often. All of this talk about tea and coffee drove me to prepare of cup of tea. It's good, but I think it must be the sugar that is giving me a bad after taste. Maybe that's why I don't drink it that often. I'm trying like heck to not have another piece of cake! Josh still has my full respect-----I can't imagine it any other way.

Cindy, I'm so sorry about your friends, dad. (((HUGS))) I did read that right, didn't I? I think you had mentioned it before the original VENT
thread went "poof".
Thanks for the hugs, Gladys and Cruisin. I had my MRI on Wed. it didn't show anything else but the lump. That was a relief! I called to schedule my surgery and the person who does that is out until Monday and they told me I had to talk to her and no one else. The radiologist at the VA clinic is going to call her for me on Monday morning, he told me I was his top priority right now. So I'm thinking my surgery will be this coming up week. This waiting, sucks! I'm listening to the AWAKE cd right now. Listening to Josh has such a soothing qaulity. On every prescription a doctor writes should also include besides, take 1 or 2 of this or that a day but also listen to Josh Groban for stress related issues you also may be experiencing. Very cool that he's going to be singing at the All-Star game!

Heather, yes, a guy I was dating many years ago had his own computer firm, and once day he showed up with an empty tower and all the rest of the computer parts
in teh box and told me to have a go.
It was trial and terror, but for some reason, I quickly got a hang of it and I can do most of the hardware maintenance needed. I don't like software especially much, but I know the basics.... enough to be able to install whatever I need and I know the basic commands when working "behind" windows. Brenda, belated happy birthday. If you let your tea seep too long you sometimes get a bitter taste. Vent: My cold finally broke out. I don't enjoy it, but I rather get it over with then feeling half sick. Malin

**I am deleting this picture....three people PM'd me and asked me nicely to take it down since it looked like a
private photo...however, in my defense, I did not go looking for photos of Josh and his family, this picture is/was posted in the SAdness thread...and
that's where I found it...posted by someone else.**

my blood pressure is up again tonight - consistently 165/111 - the sitter watching the kids is freaking out, wants me to go to the er - we called them and they
said it wasn't necessary to come in, even if it was that high, if i wasn't symptomatic, which i'm not (i was that one night, but not now) - he
basically said to take one more BP pill tonight, and go in and see my regular doctor to get it straightened out (i HAD an appointment, but nobody ever called
to remind me about it, and i forgot all about it, so i'm sure it's already passed) -
i'm a little concerned, i have to admit - i don't want to go to the er, i hate that place, but i have noticed where there are evenings where my arm is hurting, not horrifically bad, no pain anywhere else, but it still makes me wonder - it's not an all-night kind of thing, just periodically....and then there's the sweating, the headaches, the upset stomach and potty problems....all of which could be any number of things, INCLUDING the fact that it's almost 100* out here with no breeze....still, it does concern me.... i have no other vents right now, other than the fact that my BIL is driving me completely batty...i asked him a (very legitimate) question last night when i got home from dropping the kids off, and he practically bit my head off....not sure what it is i've done NOW, but i'm sure i'll get the silent or barking treatment for a while....(hmmmm, don't suppose any of THAT might have to do with my BP being UP???) sigh....

I always wondered when your blood pressure is high that worrying about it being high would actually KEEP it high? I know it's not as simple as I'm
about to make it but maybe you could concentrate on something else?
