you know, Krisz - I am the same way you are. I just want to fix everything and have everyone get along again.... But then I realize that is never going to happen, because some people would rather be angry and fight than realize that truth, and some people live for drama.... I have had enough drama in the past year+ to last me for my entire life and more, and it's not over yet, so I have no interest in the drama here anymore. It's all petty, and over things that don't really matter, and if you had to know and accept some of the things that I am having to know and accept at this point in my life, you would realize that there are things happening out there that are so much worse, and that hurt people so much more than anything that can happen on a message board. *chokes up* There are some things that I wish I had never had to know, especially when they involve people that I love more than life... But I have to know them.... And sometimes when I hear or see people fighting and getting all angry and hurt over insignificant things, I just want to scream at them: "It's not that bad!! If only you knew what I know! You can block out all the horrible things that happen to people around you every day, but when you know someone who is going through something so horrible you can hardly imagine it, you can't block it out anymore! Don't you care that there are people all around you who are hurting over things that are much much more important and real than anything you can think of to fight about here!!" *stops talking and looks down* *whispers* I'm sorry..... It just hurts.... But I agree with you Krisz - we have this thread here for those who want to try to promote peace and actually getting along, and the rest of them can do whatever they darn well please... And we don't need to wear ourselves out trying to fix everything... Especially when it's things that don't really matter.... Because in real life, if I feel like I need to protect someone, or try to help them out, I NEVER GIVE UP.... but I can't put that same energy into things that don't matter.... just my two cents.... sorry for the vent..... your life, but you can't tell why that pain was given to you...
We all have different crosses to bear... but one thing I learnt: no cross is lighter than the other. A person may look at someone and say, "my problem is worse than yours", and from their point of view, they may be right... But if you think about it, OUR pain is always the worst. WE are our own world, our own universe, it's WE who have to go through whatever we're going through... and no matter how had someone else tries, they will never understand how we feel. Then again, you are right in saying that sometimes we fight over petty insignificant things... and the reason I exploded here and in my wallpaper thread was that I think we should behave like adults, not like children... I also realized how much energy it took from me, trying to make peace... the most important thing IS TO HAVE PEACE WITHIN YOU. If you are at peace with yourself... nothing else matters. So, if the fighting parties are at peace with their decisions, then I have nothing more to say and I am happy for them.

Both of u r right. My friend Estina is living w/ renal failure,and only has a short time to live. I find it takes an effort for her to do daily things like shopping, visiting, last time I saw her she could hardly work the buttons on her phone. I'm not perfectly healthy, but thank you God that I havn't gone that far, that I still have my bodyfunctions normal, that I am not facing the end (somedays i think I'm better off gone tho) but that I'm not doing Chemo, rediation, all the bad stuff. Thank God I can see my family, friends, and chat w/ ppl. Why should pettiness on a board be what gobbles up our energy? I want to make friends, not be hated for my opinions, I love talking to ppl w/ my simialr intrests, (a/k/a JOSH) who like the same things and are accepting. So I tend to back off from threads that are full of petty, nitpicky stuff. I don't have perfect health, and some days my teeth drive me up a wall, and my energy is low. i'd rather use my energy to be happy and among friends instead of defending myself and my views of "why I see Josh and MJ and Frodo like I do". So I choose peace, there's enough war in the real world w/o besmirching the online one too!! Anyway, that's my little rant!! (((HUGS EVERYONE)))

Which is much easier said than done..... *sigh* And right now I am so tired and sad that I don't know if any of that made any sense

This thread was in vain... I did not have any illusions but to feel this helpless... it is very sad. Nay is leaving... what more, she is stopping her wonderful site from running... At this point, I do not know who was right, and who was wrong. Muji, the INDYs, Louise, Nay, whoever- is it important; Why the fighting; What did it lead to? Less people will get to see the amazing clips with Josh. Was this whole fighting meant to stop new fans from loving Josh, then? All I feel now is the hatred coming from both parties... toward each other... and me... you... everyone. I feel regret for not sticking out longer... I feel sadness for the uselessness of the fight... for all the pain both parties had caused each other. Was it worth it? Is it worth it, Louise, Nazy Muji, Deb, Alex, everyone I know and care for, is it worth destroying the peace for the sake of- of what, exactly? I dont care who was right. Who was wrong. We are all silly little children who refuse to forgive, and move on. We are proud, and selfish, and insensitive to each others interests, feelings, sadness, and pain. Everyone is to blame, we are ALL to blame, I am to blame, YOU are to blame. There is no exception here. Shame on the Grobanite community.

Krisz, I think it's
very gutsy of you to chastise the ENTIRE Grobanite community over the recent unpleasantness here...NOT everyone was involved...people insinuated themselves
into that situation, they made a choice to post and voice their opinion.
I don't think anyone of us wants WAR, as you put it, but, the fact of the matter is...PEOPLE DON'T ALWAYS GET ALONG, that's life. I'm definitely not saying I like arguing and fighting...because I don't...but, when you get thousands of people on one website, disagreements and disillusionment is bound to occur. It is sad that Nay made a choice to take down her website....but, it's her choice. She did what she felt she had to do. Quite honestly, a lot (not all) of the clips on her site are available thru youtube. I am sorry you feel that everyone here is to blame...I don't see it that way. Kriz, do you feel that some of us are to be blame because we didn't get involved, or try to
make it stop?
Personally I haven't really done or anything is because I don't know everything and it wouldn't be wise to get involved with some kind of cause if you don't know what you're going up against. I do appreciate what you've been trying to do though Kriz...give it time, something positive will happen eventually...we just got to wait it out. |

I think it is the responsibility of all of us to keep a community peaceful, and happy. By peaceful I dont mean fluffu and rosey and all happiness, like Casaporita said in the other thread. I mean that even though we are ALL different, we have to learn to get along. THAT is a responsibility we cannot avoid, none of us. I have given negative comments to many of the posts recently, and even more previously. I am not washing myself clean of this, but I am certainly not going to say some people are blameless. If you stayed in the background, you are to blame because you just let things happen, and did nothing against them. If you took sides with one specific party, you are to blame because you helped strengthen negative vibes. Even if that specific party was your friend. Your friend may have been wrong too, you know. If you tried to help peace along, like me (after a while, because there was a time when I was very much for someone as opposed to someone else), you did not try hard enough. I stopped trying, and I am bitterly disappointed with myself. Everyone is involved in one way or another. We are part of this community, we are posting here, or reading posts. No matter where you post, you are part of us. If you (no one in particular, I speak to everyone who is reading this) think you are not involved, good for you. I mean it. No irony intended. Even so, I think it is not the end of the Grobanite community. We will learn to live with our differences. If it takes forever, we will still learn- Like Sento said, give it time. I feel positive, but in the light of everything that surfaced recently, and will continute surfacing, it is difficult to smile and keep a happy face about everything. Sento, let me tell you, I have witnessed people WANTING to keep the war on. However sad that sounds. I hope these people will see through their own behaviours NOW and maybe, maybe things will change...
